Q: Will EZ Show run on Windows XP? A: Yes, EZ Show Win and EZ Show Lite will run under Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP. It will also run under some versions of Windows 95. If you have Windows 95, we suggest that you download the demo and run it to make sure your version of Windows 95 is compatible. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q. Can I run Multi-breed shows with EZ Show? A. Yes and it will report to the various breeds in the format they require. It will select the classes that you said should be nationally reported and report only the appropriate classes to the associated breed. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q. Do I have to buy additional modules to report to the different breeds? A. No, EZ Show Win will report to the APHA, ApHC, ABRA, AQHA, PFHA, PHBA, IBHC and FQHR in the formats they require. It has also been used to report to other breeds that require paper reporting because most use very similar formats. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q. If I send the results of my show to someone else that has EZ Show Win can they import the results? A. Yes, they can import the results. EZ Show Win will convert the points you send to the points structure used by the receiving party. This will allow them to use your show results and their point system to calculate their yearend results. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q. Do I have to purchase a separate module to do my billing? A. No, the billing process is included with EZ Show Win and EZ Show Lite. It is the most extensive billing process we have seen in any horse show software. It can keep track of as many different blanket or all day fees as you need, will automatically calculate class fees, and if you desire, will include placings and points on the receipt you give your customers. It will also provide you with a "final" report which gives a breakdown of income received by class, fee type, etc. It also lists payments received, credits, and outstanding bills. At the end of the report it will show the total money earned at the show(s). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q. Can I use Exhibitor/Horse combinations from previous shows? A. Yes you can. There is an option that allows you to use the combinations from previous shows. This saves time when making entries. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q. Will EZ Show keep track of payback amounts? A. Yes. You can set up as many paybacks per show as you want. EZ Show Win and EZ Show Lite will keep track of them all. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q. How many hi point groupings can EZ Show keep track of? A. As many as you like. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q. The shows I run are all very similar. Do I have to set up each show from scratch? A. No. You can use one show as a template and change only the information that is different. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q. How many judges can EZ Show keep track of at a single show? A. EZ Show Win can keep track of as many judges as you like. EZ Show Lite will keep track of up to two judges per show. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q. How many shows can I run at a time? A. With EZ Show Win you can run up to ten shows at a time with as many judges as you want at each show. With EZ Show Lite you can run up to two shows at a time with up to two judges each show. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q. How many shows can I keep on file? A. You can have as many shows, people, and horses on file as you want. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q. Can EZ Show keep track of memberships? A. Yes, EZ Show Win is used to keep track of memberships by many organizations. It will also print mailing labels and reports for members. You can specify the selection criteria in a variety of ways when you generate the reports or mailing labels. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q. I currently own EZ Show Thirty. If I purchase EZ Show Win can I import my people and horses into it? A. No. But, if you send us the necessary information, we will convert the people, horses, and shows you have already run this year into the EZ Show Win format. This will save you from doing a lot of typing and will provide you with the show information you will need for yearend results reporting. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q. Will EZ Show Win tell me if I put a person or horse in the wrong type of class? A. In EZ Show Win, you can set Preferences that can be used to notify you if you have put a horse is in a class that is for a different sex or different age. For example, it will let you know if you put a two year old in a three year old class or a gelding in a mare or stallion class. EZ Show Win will also let you know if you put someone in a class that was not for someone their age or was for a different membership type. It will also let you know it someone's national membership has expired. If you specify a membership year EZ Show Win will let you know if the membership year is less than the show year. If you specify a membership date, EZ Show Win will let you know if the membership date is less than the show date. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q. I run shows for several organizations. I want keep the people, horses, shows etc. separate for each organization. How do I do that? A. You can set up a folder for each organization you run shows for, then put a blank EZSHOW.mdb database in each one. If you don't have a blank database, let us know and we will supply you with one. When you want to use the file for a particular organization you must specify which one you want to use. When you start EZ Show, go to Show Setup on the main menu and pick Database Location from the dropdown menu. Specify which folder contains the database you want to use, highlight the database and save the location. EZ Show will continue to use that database until you point it to a different location. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q. I want to print my class results, but I don't want a separate page for each judge for each class. Can I print a more condensed report? A. Yes, by going to Print/Report/Import on the main menu bar, selecting Reports then selecting Report/Export Show Results from the dropdown. Select the show you want, choose Report to Local Organization and choose Paper as the output. When EZ Show Win is done processing the show results, you will be given options for different reports. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q. Can EZ Show Win be networked? A. Yes, in a limited fashion. EZ Show Win can be run on a network and access data from multiple computers. By purchasing one copy of EZ Show Win, you can use the demo versions on other computers to do lookups and print reports. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q. I haven't updated my version of EZ Show for quite some time. The update on your web page is much newer than the version on my computer. Can I just update with the latest version or do I need to update with each version between the one I have and the one on the web site? A. You only need to update using the latest version. It contains all previous updates. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q. How do I back up the information I have entered into EZ Show? A. All of the information entered into EZ Show is saved in the EZSHOW.mdb file. You can copy it to another drive, burn it onto a CD or use WinZip or some other compression utility to put it onto a diskette. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q. Can I put my reports to disk? A. Yes, with EZ Show WIn you can export your reports to disk in a variety of formats. This is very handy when you get requests for copies of show results, lists of exhibitors, horses etc. You can put the report to disk, give the requestor a diskette or CD containing the report and let them print it or do what they wish with the information. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
